Day 125 - A Day of Rest
I woke up feeling pretty good. A bit tired and a little sore, I enjoyed a leisurely day of grazing and grooming.
My mom made about a hundred Rice Krispy treats, covered with melted butterscotch and chocolate chips, and we were able to share a few of them with some hikers at the park.
They were super stoked and this was just the first bit of "trail magic" we were able to share.
My parents, Uncle Bob and Aunt Tami, and friends Molly and Gordy Clark conspired to surprise hikers with edible delights.
I am so grateful for what they've shared and inspired that they wanted to participate in this way.
Thank you SO much!!!
In the afternoon, we drove up to the lodge and had a look around. A ranger was giving a presentation while we were there.
I got my first looks of the lake, which faded in and out of view.
It felt so good to catch up with my parents, it had been almost a year since our last visit.
I love these two with all my heart.
